A little too enamoured with inflated self purpose

The Small Print

Well i could'nt even wait a week to get penning on my next entry (this is primarily because i'm washing my bed clothes so can't be lazy and goto bed early).
This weeks dilema has been what to spend my hard earned wages on, which is actually much harder than it seems. Given that as my last 2 years have been in a form of limbo (although i still bought a guitar (i hope shes still safe in the UKs crime hot spot, rich?)) so i was reluctant to buy too many possesions, this left me generally loads of money to get drunk on and to restock my warderobes after chucking clothes out to meet baggage limits. Now i've developed a large list of absolute necessity possessions, which goes something like the following:
A decent sized (100watt +) amp (for my aspiration of setting up a punk band ).
A sofa
A new bed (i'm not sure how you survived a year in it sion(though when jane gets back maybe she can explain some of the stains))
Some funky artwork for my barren bedroom walls
Some new shoes
Some more ties (for tie friday!)
A car?

And the list goes on and on, the only problem is that I'm too indecisive and by the time i decide on one i usually have spent too much on CDs and DVDs that fortnight to buy it.
Combined with this i have an anarchic desire to break the tenacy rules and get myself a pet,( i was thinking something with lots of shedding hair sion). Though once again this falls into the indecisive thing and i change my mind constantly on what i want.
Given that very soon the student loan folks will start banging on my mums door for some money, i have a weird feeling that maybe i ought to start spending this money on unessecary assets while i still can. (also spending money annoys Guy who is trying his hardest to save for the west indies).

Well enough of my boastings, this week has been a pain in the arse to get out of bed for, though after a cinema trip on sunday i can definatly recommend Thank you for smoking. The healthy eating continues as well as some (ir)regular exercise so i'm actually feeling quite fit for the impending summer (though supposedly El Nino is going to fuck it up(damn spanish global weather patterns)).

Thats it, my sheets are probabaly dry (or at least only mildly moist) by now, and whats that coming over the hill......

Jesus of Suburbia

Yes you were right Guy, I was naming my posts after Pink Floyd songs, though i did expect a so called "ultra-fan" to point it out for me first. So as your reward your suggestion of a post name has been made (though i sometimes wonder how much the song ties into my own escape from suburbia).
Well i decided that since yet more people are joining this blogging world that i would be pro-active and write more frequently (for this week at least). It also means i can actually remember what is happened so as to write about it.
Well fourtunatly the dire condition of my bank account from my last entry (i should have left a t.b.c) was resolved by dipping into that handy thing called savings, although i did leave me with a nasty feeling that maybe i should get a credit card (although last time i used one i got £20 of late fees, then consequently chopped it up). Hopefully next fortnights pay might make it past the first weekend. This week once again flew past, come tuesday it was time for the black harp quiz (which the ERMA team (or teams ) are now leading powers in. This week as not to be however as both ERMA teams made only a joint 3rd place, although it was not without a loss of some dignity by being required to display my star trek knowladge ( i was young and naive and easily lulled into the dark world(which i now regret).
Wednesday brought the ERMA mens 5 a side where we played what is seemingly the only other team in our league, and despite a gutsy performance and an ad-hoc scottish spin by myself we lost. Later that night i resolved some issue that was overdue. (but since i've decided to not talk about my love life in here, you'll never know (unless you are Mary, Guy, James or Amy))
Thursday was depressing as temperatures outside started to become acceptable (15C) to be stuck in work, although being treated to 2 dinners thanks to Guy (and some bourben porter) it rolled onto a nicer friday. Casual Friday has now become tie day for some reason but that combined with some afternoon touch rugby and then tox drinks (which was actually (and unusually) fun). Finally after an amazing performance of acting way soberer than i actually was (I was in the 10+ speights zone) i hit sandwiches to see a gig only for it to finish 5 minutes after i arrived (doh!).
Attempting to clear the hangover next morning I remebered a mention of a book fair at the queens wharf events centere and as being denied the oppurtunity to go fishing thanks to the gale force winds i mosyied on down. $10 later and i'm the proud owner of considerably more classic russian literature. Finally the day was made a classic with some Bball with Guy and Alice ( i was actually attempting some bet winnng matchmaking( that £10 is easily mine )), i discovered that i have natural talent in pulling off fluky shots but Air Andy crashed and burned (knowing some of the rules might of helped).
Bar my weeks diet of steamed veg that rounds it up, go out and listen to some living end because they keep sounding so rockin awesome.
