High Hopes

Well after a fortnight of unsuccesfully adding pictures to this, i have opted the ben way and am hosting them here, photos
Well it has proved to be quie a cool 2 weeks, firstly the weather decided to get better, and seondly the film festival rolled into town. Being the culture addict i am i went and watched "A Scanner Darkly" and "Brick" , both turned out to be my kind of film (i.e requiring more than 2 braincells to watch and that mess your sleep up the night after cos your still running over the plot).
Also guy has become recruited as my personal chef, he decided to follow up the awesome pancakes of 2 weeks ago with a huge roast (3kg of meat) for last saturday, he also invited awhole gang of people so we ended up having a dinner party, then to continue the trend last night he whips up a very healthy vension bangers and kumara mash. I am however returning the favour by attempting to win that £10 bet ( i still rememeber it sion), which has so far consisted of scouring the trademe personals with guy (after he came over from his new flat with some emonsons bourben porter (whisky flavoured beer!!!!!)) pointing out the young hotties i could set him up with, funnily enough he already knew one of the girls on there.
Other noteworthy mentions for the last 2 weeks include passing my driving theory, and finding a certain 2 wheeled death trap gifted to me a year ago, that was sitting in the garage (you'd better reclaim it jane becuase guy wants it).
Last weekend proved to be quite low key (except the dinner party) and although a lot of drink was consumed last night it proved to be a similarish (1am) early night after going to catch my workmates scream metal band play at valve.
It was decided to return sky to the flat so most evenings have now turned into lazing around on the been bag squinting at the tiny (but indestructible) TV.
Finally the title refers to my possible bagging of a trip to canberra in october for work.
Thats it , i'll try and update with more photos more regularily, go out and listen to the new muse album.
