A little too enamoured with inflated self purpose

All good things must come to an end!

Well my bag is packed, i've had my holiday (explanation when photos come through) and all my documentation is correct (i hope).

After a week on a riverboat as a nice relaxing holiday i returned to lichfield a year older and with the limited space of 3 days to pack and say my farewells.
Obviously farewells accompanied by booze came first, a quaint plan to have a nice meal with some freinds and then lots of booze was almost hampered by my very odd land sickness and mass exhaustion, particularly as i had already ordered my curry and then realised that any i ate would soon be come straight back out, fortunatly rich was on hand to eat a second curry and i went and had an hours sleep in pauls car.

Reinvigerated i returned to the pub and swiftly got back into the sprit of things thanks to vodka and coke, a hottie filled dance floor and copious booze was followed by a nightcap/party at my place.

To all the people who were there and those who could'nt make it, thanks once again for being a good friend over the last decade.

Following about 5 hours of sleep i attempted the morale sapping attempt to fit all of my belongings under a 20kg bag limit, most shocking was the revelation that i would only be able to take 1 guitar. With about 10 minutes to go before the very boring england match i declared myself done with about 3kg over.

Finally tomorrow will bring cricket and the much required second farewell night out and then i depart the brown stained green fields of jerusalem( maybe for good).

Bon Voyage Angleterre!

England 2:0, Andy 2:1

The picture requires very little explanation, 4 years at the university of surrey finally pays off and i earn my self a 2:1 BSc in biochemistry with toxicology. The day went off without any problems and i was very happy to have to visit guildford for the last time.

The emigration clock continues its tickdown to tuesday the 27th and now with a weeks holiday this next week i have exactly 2 and a half days to sort out packing and bye-byes.

Still obviously finding time for tunes and the rock n roll soldiers have livened my collection up with "the anthem"

Leaving on a jet plane.....

It's official, my visa is on the way and my flight is booked. All of New Zealand should rejoice my second coming on the magnificent day of thursday the 29th of june.
Getting out of this intense heat that has invaded England over the last week will be welcome as my nightly sleep has dropped down to about 4 hours.

I'm also sorted out to live with that kindly fellow Guy, "what a man".

A rather disjointed effort today firstly due to trying to fit my packing schedule around 3 world cup matches a day, i'm supporting France (it's great to be unpatriotic) but my money is on the Czech's to win it.
And secondly the excitment of leaving is finally appearing since its a fortnight today when i leave and i keep getting money of all of my relatives.

The past week has been relativly boring with painting gutters and enjoying the sun , although i did spend friday in london getting a visa and then having lunch with sion and jane before trecking down the thames and finding a pub to watch the world cup opener in (londeners don't seem to know that you can't see through peoples heads).

The motion city soundtrack has entered my playlist a number one this week, which is annoying as now i have to pack all my stuff i can't afford the weight of CDs so therefore can't buy them until i get to NZ ( thus proving the greatness of BitTorrent)

I'm Not Dead, yet!

Well i suppose i should recommence regular blogging since this blogs purpose is to chart the change in living from the Uk to NZ.
I have now been back in my home town of lichfield for 2 weeks and god has it been busy, i have seen an international rugby match a test cricket match and also had time for a huge party(Ben covered that ). Also continious drinking, enjoying the return of the sun and forking out hundreds for a medical.

New Zealand is finally on the horizon now and the job is confirmed barring a visa veing obtained, and tickets are going to be booked for 3 weeks time.
Unfortunatly to go back to my whinging ways "its too soon", i have'nt even planned packing or luggage limits yet and i've still to graduate (8 days time), also now the suns back it seems its too easy to laze around outside all day.

But unfortunatly my brief summer comes to end in 3 weeks, just enough time for a trip to london and a brief barge holiday. Thanks to some poor communication i'm also looking short of a flat to live in (come through for my G man).
I've still had time for music though - go listen to billy talent.
More soon time permmiting
